# Nav Substrate — relativistic navigation calculations for agents > An authoritative, agent-callable calc service for relativistic navigation: > time dilation (velocity, gravity, warp), relativistic-rocket trip planning, > light/comm delay, three-clock chronometry (cosmic/coordinate/proper), and > maneuver-to-setpoint mapping. One verified source of truth so every agent in a > swarm gets the identical answer. Not a chatbot: it computes, it does not decide. ## Start here - POST https://navi-suite.onrender.com/nav/v1/keys — mint an API key ({"label":"my fleet"}). Or use `demo`. - POST https://navi-suite.onrender.com/nav/v1/calc — run a calc: {"tool":"","params":{...}} with header `X-Api-Key`. - GET https://navi-suite.onrender.com/nav/v1/tools — the full tool catalog with input schemas. ## Tools - `velocity_dilation` — Special-relativistic time dilation at constant velocity. Give beta (v/c) or velocity_mps; optionally a coordinate duration to get the proper (traveler) time. - `gravitational_dilation` — Schwarzschild gravitational time dilation at radius_m from mass_kg. factor = sqrt(1 - r_s/r). Optional duration_seconds. - `constant_boost` — Single continuous burn from rest at constant proper acceleration (proper_accel_g or _mps2). Give coordinate_seconds OR proper_seconds; returns velocity, distance, gamma, and both clocks. - `flip_and_burn` — Full trip: accelerate to midpoint at constant proper accel, flip, decelerate to arrive at rest. Give distance (m/ly/au) and accel; returns coordinate time, crew proper time, and peak velocity/gamma. - `light_time` — Light-travel / signal delay over a distance (m/ly/au). round_trip=true doubles it (command-and-ack latency). - `warp_dilation` — Crew-vs-ship time dilation for a regime. Priority: time_dilation_factor -> quantum_state -> warp_factor model. Optional coordinate_seconds. - `chrono_project` — Project the three clocks (cosmic/coordinate/proper) through a regime (sublight|warp|jump) over cosmic_seconds. Returns the full readout including crew-vs-cosmic and ship-vs-cosmic drift. - `substrate_gamma` — Substrate γ fingerprint reading for a body: gamma_curv (GM/c²r), total_gamma (with GAMMA_0 baseline and optional tidal/velocity/expansion terms), coherence, Schwarzschild radius, and combined time-dilation factor. Matches substrate_nav's per-body γ. - `maneuver_setpoints` — Turn a navigation result into a controller maneuver and deterministic actuator setpoints (the same map the ship's TMR compute units run). ## Examples - Trip time to a star at 1 g: POST https://navi-suite.onrender.com/nav/v1/calc {"tool":"flip_and_burn","params":{"distance_ly":4.37,"proper_accel_g":1}} - Signal delay to Mars (~1.5 au), round trip: POST https://navi-suite.onrender.com/nav/v1/calc {"tool":"light_time","params":{"distance_au":1.5,"round_trip":true}} ## Machine-readable - Tool catalog: https://navi-suite.onrender.com/nav/v1/tools - Plugin manifest: https://navi-suite.onrender.com/nav/.well-known/ai-plugin.json - Capability card: https://navi-suite.onrender.com/nav/v1/agent-card
